Sandra’s Passion Story

Sandra reached back out to us from our inquiry on Instagram.

This was great (Rub-a-dub-dub ).

She’s not unusual from many others who’ve
asked to be featured. We naturally accepted
and we love to hear about, write about, what
drives people and see them share what their
passions might be. She gave us an amazing
backstory.

Her full name is Sandra Almeida.

We asked her:

What is it that you do?

She said:

Aside from working in an office
I have such a passion for cooking,
baking, sweet treats, cakes, and a
new passion for making candles
and wax melts.”

[ Yes, ^ that ^ was an attempt at a joke. The moment has passed now. ]

(See candles and wax melts below)

We then asked:

Who are your PEOPLE?

She said:

People who radiate kindness
and move with intention. The
ones who uplift others, supportive, positive, loyal and show up for people they care about.

We then asked:

Why should people really care?

She said:

Oh, hell yeah. We couldn’t have
written this better or any more
clear.

Then we asked (and this one really got us):

Tell us a little backstory:

She said:

I’m the granddaughter of Anne
and Frank Caccavo who owned
a restaurant called Roma
Restaurant in Grasmere for
over 40 years. They retired,
I believe, in 2000.

My grandfather was a chef and so is my uncle.

I grew up in a big Italian family where cooking, baking, and family was everything. I decided to go to culinary school at 17 years old. Right out of high school. I decided to turn to baking and
took my basic skills and taught myself how to do custom cakes and more baking. Cooking and baking is my love language.

There is nothing like the smells of homemade
food and desserts filling up my home and putting
smiles on everyone’s faces. The past few years
I started doing dessert tables for family and
friends. I also have started building a following
on TikTok and Instagram. I also found a new love
for making homemade candles and wax melts
also intertwining them with food smells.

I joke around with everyone saying get desserts from me and a candle so it can smell like you
actually baked it yourself lol. I love and appreciate the support system I have and everyone who has been there through every
chapter of my life. I’m forever grateful.

Great! Thank you SandyCakes80
