An Epic Contest:

SI-nyc Team is looking to do better art for our tagline to be used as a graphic. Then the SI-nyc Team is going to review all entries and determine who wins by May 1, 2021. If you win, you shall know then (winner gets two fifty $250.).
We shall email you. We shall DM you.
Don’t make us hunt you down. We’ll.
Take the money. You earned it.
You deserve it.

- The words and letters should be: Do Epic Shit. (yes, with the little period).
- All work must be original (no stealin’).
- Submit ONE copy in full color and ONE copy in black & white (that’s two in total. :D).
- Vignette – essential elements of the artwork do not span all the way to the borders.
- Artwork should fit neatly in a square.
- Focus on the lettering, aka a Logotype.
- There can be ONLY ONE winner.
- The winner shall receive $250.
- This contest ends May 1, 2021.

Colin A.R. Pearce
Colin A.R. Pearce has a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from City College of New York, and a Juris Doctor from New York Law School, and is about to graduate with a Legum Magister in Taxation from New York Law School. He has over 17 years of experience in production management and technology and has helped to start numerous ventures and non-profits, including several performing arts companies. He is a photographer and classical music recordist, with interests in Idealist Aesthetics, Cultural History, and Parapsychology.
Lara Kisielewska
Lara Kisielewska has lead creative teams for 27 years, working on branding, print, and digital design for a wide array of companies including Tribune Media, Nickelodeon, and American Express. Lara holds a B.S. in Graphic Communications Management and Technology from New York University and has been an active member of the Graphic Artists Guild since 1992. She has been on the Guild’s National Board since 1998 and is currently National President.
Michael Asirvadem
Michael Asirvadem has conceived, designed, and produced events in Sri Lanka and in multiple US cities for more than 20 years. Michael has organized and executed everything from multi-day corporate conferences, to live stage shows, to product launches for national brands, to celebrity beach parties for several thousand people. His specialty is product promotions that center on building brand image and awareness. Michael got his start in radio and then as a TV celebrity in Sri Lanka, where he was a prime time radio personality for the most popular station in the country and hosted a TV series about live music.
Michael connects to Tompkinsville in SI-nyc, which has the largest Sri Lankan community outside of Sri Lanka, in the US.
Julien McRoberts
Today, after 12 years in business, Julien is a sought after photographer and storyteller who has worked with such notable clients as Jeff Bezos, The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, USA Today Magazine, Mastercard, Calvin Klein Home and more. She focuses on the authentic story that is being told through the picture and her unique use of light.
Her photography allows the client to feel connected and embody their brand.

Breuk Iversen
Breuk Iversen was responsible for promoting art and culture Williamsburg | Brooklyn in 2000 – 2006. Breuk published and distributed 548,000 copies of 11211 Magazine in that time, redirecting national and international tourism to Brooklyn. He is the former, unofficial “Mayor of Williamsburg,” nicknamed that through the contributors and business owners there. Prior to that, he helped launch Kate Spade (with Kate and Andy), reinvigorate the Kenneth Cole fashion brand, REVLON, COACH and Polo Ralph Lauren.
Today he is the Brand Architect for Fashion Week Brooklyn. Breuk is a veteran AdMan, designer, and writer utilizing highly-effective techniques steeped in neuroscience and phenomenology for advertising and branding with a sharp focus on increasing revenue for clients. He is also considered “one of the 120+ most prolific graphic designers of all time.”
Mr. Iversen is an entrepreneur since 1994 and is the sitting Chief Marketing Officer of siff.nyc.

Lulé Karpuzi
Lulé Karpuzi is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Business Management specializing in Product Development. She has four years of experience in the garment district, helping independent designers and entrepreneurs meet their production goals by creating technical sketches, communicating with vendors and sourcing materials. Lulé currently manages Social Media, integrating the most current strategies and market research. Her interests include fashion forecasting, photography and recipe testing.
